Doing Business With Europeans

Recently i have had a number of negative experiences attempting to do business with Europeans. At first glance, I thought not too much of it. Maybe it was just the individuals that were backward, I surmised. But then, the impudence I encountered seemed to collect into a little pile, I began to think back over the last 12 years in this business… I noticed a pattern. There is a certain lack of respect for people, as people, i have encountered. A lack of common business etiquette practices. Anyone care to offer an opinion?

within my last 5 years with europeans, hard to say, no offense, but they will look at you, how BIG you are at the 1st place, rather than how potential you are.
many people tried to hide their real 'money' at the first met, especially asian. :)

McLuhan,

I don't know where this came from, but you must have had a few bad experiences.

First, if you are in this business at all, you HAVE to deal with Europeans. I would venture that 70% of the entire online gaming business is in Europe right now, both operators and players.

My experiences with Europeans has been nothing but stellar. Most keep their word. Some of the best and most loyal customers I have ever had come from Europe. The support they provide exceeds anything I have ever seen. These companies know me, trust me, and as a result, commit to business with me consecutively.

For those European companies that don't keep their word, I have the same percentage of empty promises with American businessmen. Basically, it is like anywhere else.

I won't mention the country by name, but there is one particular country in the world (not in Europe) where I have found the business culture to provide late delivery, sub standard service and last minute price increases (more like a 'jack-job'). That one country I tend not to deal with.
