It appears to be so expensive...what do you think - on certain key words the bids go higher than...$9 !!
What a rip off...did it provide results to you ?

Overture is grate for marketing casino's if you are in bussiness several months and you can pay $10,000+ a month for marketing.

Overture is a CPC search engine no different then Findwhat.com.

It is not a major search engine like google, MSN, Alta vista, lycos, yahoo or aol. But spending money to get visiters is a most for any gaming companies.

Personally, i think going to them directly compared to using marketing campaigns will save you money in the beginning. Also trying to compete with the larger companies on these portal sites can also waste you money too.

Always think @#$%&

About 2 hours ago I spoke on the phone with a Senior Vice President at Overture. Looks like a few of the big boys are heading up to Vancouver for the @#$%&.

Great chance to ask them that question yourself!

CEO: I don't know how you can reason that as a marketer you can save money initially with Overture when it's common that the average bid for gaming sites with gambling targeted keywords are $15-$17/click these days?

"Overture is a CPC search engine no different then Findwhat.com."

What exactly are you the CEO of? I find your knowledge to be decidedly underwhelming. Overture itself is not one of the major search engines, but their results are fed to many of the top search engines. They are the biggest pay-per-click on the market, far bigger than FindWhat.@#$%&

Tommy D,

Did I say find what was bigger. I gave advice to someone starting out. Having a full marketing campaign, of course needs to include overture. i was just pointing out you can also go directly to the search engines for sponsorships and CPC advertising. As well as you need to use other types of advertising.

CEO,

Your exact quote was "Overture is a CPC search engine no different then Findwhat.com." They are quite significantly different than FindWhat.com because their results are seen by a much larger portion of internet users, hence they are much bigger. Don't try to play a game of semantics to hide your obvious lack of knowledge.

Why didn't you just advise this person to forget about wasting their money and try to attract some investors first like you've advised someone else in the past?

I'll give YOU some advice: Go run your corporation. Certainly a CEO could make better use of his time than giving worthless advice on a public message board.

Well, I wish to thank you a lot Tommy D, I admit I did want to see how sad people could be in the online gambling industry...and C.E.O definitely is.Ouverture is very expensive for what I saw...I was told it doesn't produce good results..but there: I knew someone would show up, telling me to spend my money on it...grinning and hoping new ones should always fail..and yes, I entirely agree with you.A CEO posting such messages should slightly be worried about his casinos.

Marketer,

Which I doubt you are. IT IS SPELLED OVERTURE!!!

Thank god you don't market for me. As for your comments about CEO. Almost all the people on this forum are CEO's or marketing people. If a CEO didn't come to Startcasino.com he wouldn't be doing his or her job. As for thanking Tommy D. he didn't say anything except try and start a fight with CEO. Most be another loser with no day job like yourself...Because only a loser tries to argue on a board that is used for help. I guess he got bored of ragingbull or the yahoo boards.

The best part you agreed with CEO who said OVERTURE is only part of a marketing campaign. And it wasn't the best place.
Please pass along your company name so I know to stay away!!!

well. You sound very agressive.Gosh.I made the mistake of a little "u" because I am french..as for me, you sound like CEO with another nickname....mmmh...shady.
Don't worry we won't have to do business together - I am such
a double zero marketer -without the 7, as you are -and my company is sooooo small you shall never hear from us in the near future.Good luck. You are the best !!!:)

Rick,

If you are going to correct somebody on their spelling, then the least you could do is proofread your own post. Or perhaps you yourself can't spell correctly. The correct grammatical phrase is "try to start" not "try and start" and "must" is not spelled "most".

"If a CEO didn't come to Startcasino.com he wouldn't be doing his or her job." I've never seen that listed as a requirement for any executive position. Call me crazy, but I thought a CEO would be doing their job by actually running their business, not showing how ignorant they are on a public message board.

"...only a loser tries to argue on a board that is used for help." Hello, then, Mr. Loser. If you're so opposed to starting a fight on this board, why are you trying to do exactly that? You are quite a hypocrite, Rick. I was merely correcting misinformation spouted by CEO. You are the one trying to stir up trouble. Now go back to your "day job" and kiss your bosses ass.
