(Edited by the Webmaster)

The original post for this thread was that PumpPoker.com was for sale on ebay.

After 9 days, with no bids, Pump101 edited his original post to read:

Here's a question: How much revenue and profit can be generated from aPoker site with 800 players?

Figure 1/3 are active. So you have 250 players.

Assuming they drop $100-200 each night, the house rakes 4% (average).

So, that's

$4 (or 8) x 250 =$1000 - $2000 each night.

Each month is proabably $30,000 to 60,000 in revenue.

Again, this doesn't account for your marketing costs and other expenses. And that is assuming 250 of the 800 players are active.

Still, its a baby step up from starting off a site. Those looking to buy it should checkthe Alexa rank for the site and see where it is marketed to.

Wow! Sites stats for the site according to Alexa SUCK!!!

Traffic Rank for pumppoker.com: 548,784 (DOWN in rank by 190,767) !!!

(The traffic Rank for StartCasino.com is 85,000 - and we're a business site)

Other sites that link to this site: No Data

Online Since: 13-Sep-2005

The site is actually declining in traffic big time, not increasing. The web traffic is probably higher in the last few days because it is listed on ebay.

This could also be a publicity stunt for the site.

what you all fail to see is that Alexa is fake and provides misleading information.

Alexa rankings only benefit sites from USERS who have actually INSTALLED the Alexa toolbar on their computers...Alexa tracks what sites THEIR users go to, not the entire net

I never go by what Alexa states, cause with the right programming, you can manipulate those numbers like anything else.

If you want to know what a site it worth, hire a professional appraiser, is what we did and we feel we got a fair assessment on the sites we are selling.

Matter of opinion is @#$%&

The "Buy It Now" price of $105,000 is for the incredibly ignorant and stupid.
It looks like he started it at the 27 grand bid price for the basically stupid.

27 dollars is more like it!

It's a white label site. ANYONE can have one for almost nothing.

Is anyone really that stupid to think the name "PUMP POKER" is worth more than a $50?

Because that's what you are buying. The poker room is owned and run by Betcorp.

And in case anyone is curious, it is Damian Dunlap who is selling this.

The domains are listed in his name.

With regards to Alexa:

Something is better than nothing. While yes the data is not accurate, it gives one SOME inclination as to what's going on.

Clearly an Alexa ranking of 500,000+ is not a good sign of alot of traffic,

Its not an absolute, its just one piece of data in the mix.

Not that I am stumpping for pumppoker really I could care less, but the table rakes stated above for a 250 player universe per night seem low.

A 24hr game of three players with a 3% rake will take in between 1250 to 1500 based on records from our software. www.cookcountycasinocorp.com

Now you must take into account that is three players playing continuously for 24 hours. If you had bigger tables the rake would slow down, but with that many players per night the rakes would be substantial.

Surprisingly though this casino operator does not seem to know these figures!!!

Howveer, I dont know this operator his software or anything about his site.

If I was interested in purchasing the site, how would I go about getting the website appraised? Also, what type of information should I be asking for in a purchase like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This a real nice forum

Yes, but what about getting the whole site appraised? What should I be looking for when I review financials, vendor invoices, etc.? Thanks in advance.

BetCorp On Aim
Gaming company Betcorp began trading on the on the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market on Friday.

In 2005, they reported gross revenues of $29.4 million on betting turnover of $825.0 million and a profit (after depreciation, interest and tax) of $4.3 million.

At the close of trading in the ordinary shares on the ASX on March 17, Betcorp had a market capitalisation of GBP49.1 million.

The above company handles the back end of pumppoker (handles all money and payouts not Damian, Bush, Clinton.

As you can see a very sound company

The people that are making these remarks, are the same ones that badmouth York and other webmasters at Thiscasinosucks.

Damian has helped many people and if he were a big time scam artist he wouldnt have the loyal following that he has at Onlineplayersunion.

That's appraising a business like any other. You need to hire an independent CPA to look at the books.

If it were me, 'goodwill' would be stricken from the books, as it is a new site. That would also applyto the value of the domain name.
