I also found their website. I emailed them and was interested in what I received back.
A gaming licence and IBC in a United Nations country in South America for €6,800 first year fee and renewal at just €1,900.
Sounded exactly what I wanted, if a bit too good to be true.
But I spoke to their representative, Tony Jones, on the phone and I found him an arrogant, smug, patronising prick!
I've never heard of this jurisdiction (well, never heard of licences for this price from any jurisdiction). He claimed to have issued "thousands", but I've never found a site that claims to be operating from there.
Anyway, I don't think they are a scam, but I'm going elswhere. I think their licences are probably not worth the paper they're written on.
He also told me one thing that I can't agree with: If I had his licence, I could locate my servers in the UK and pay zero corporation tax (might be the case, or not). Also that I wouldn't need a UK licence to operate this way. However, I've spoken with the Gaming Authority and they tell me that if my servers are in the UK I MUST have a remote licence issued by the UK.
He said that the UK Govt. is "talking bollox" under some Hague convention.
Comments anyone?
Mandy

Generally speaking,if your servers are located in a country, you are required to have a license there. I do not know the particulars of this issue in the UK, but I know that the UK is tax hungry when it comes to the topic of gambling, and I can't imagine them letting someone slide by in this manner.
My guess is that this Tony Jones is either misinformed or else he's just telling you what he thinks you want to hear.

Hi Jerry, nice to see someone with an informed opinion speak up. There is absolutely no need for any confusion by people on this subject. The information is all available on the Internet if someone with a head on their shoulders spends about 4 quality hrs searching and reading.
Here it is. You can operate gaming servers in a mere handful of countries without a gaming license. There is absolutely no need to have a gaming license for running servers in these jurisdictions. Those of us in the business know which countries they are and which providers are reliable. NONE of these countries is recognized by the UK and they never will be. The UK does not even recognize Antigua for God's sake. So people, give up this search for something that does not exist. Pack 50 grand in your jeans, spend the 2k in plane fare and hotel, get on the airplane and go to an Eu recognized territory, and be prepared to spend it all and then some.
On the UK mystery, which is no mystery at all, one needs to be licensed in those jurisdictions which are 'publicly known' to be acceptable to the UK gaming governance. These include Gibraltar and the couple other "well known" territories. It very farking expensive and cumbersome to achieve this. I have been to Gibraltar in the gaming business and I know very well how troublesome it is. I have also licensed gaming companies in at least six other offshore jurisdictions, and they were all painful and expensive experiences. I was just plain dumb when I did this. I shake my head, looking back at how naive I was. The bloody lawyer you need in Gib will charge you 5 grand just to start, and that’s just for starters, wait until you get the second invoice, and then the third and the fourth invoice, and they will keep coming. Anyone trying to buy a gaming license thru the above mentioned bogus company off the Internet should not be in the business to start with. They are most likely doing a high school research project, or the equivalent of. It is not a legitimate real question asked by a legitimate real person in other words.
My company has a master gaming license. What good is it? It's only useful for one reason, if a person wants to operate a legitimate gaming company "legally" and pay zero in tax. That's what its good for, and that's all its good for. We do not recommend hosting in our country because there are better options available. It's perfectly fine to host the servers 'elsewhere' and at the same time run the company legally. Why is this useful? Banking is the answer. A good example of a comparable situation is the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. They have half the global gaming industry as clients, and their servers are spinning there ILLEGALLY. Ask the question, WHERE are these same companies incorporated? Certainly not by a Mohawk Tribal lawyer LOL. They are incorporated elsewhere because they need banking, and at the very least an operating company address. Do they pay tax where they are incorporated? The answer varies with the situation.
As for the UK, anyone starting out in this business, AND especially they who know squat about the industry, should not be tackling the UK market anyway. The big boys, including now Yahoo have all raced into the market to grab their 'legal' share of the UK market, and just how big is this market anyway? It is now chopped up into about 150 pieces thanks to this new legislation. Certainly not big enough that the scraps off the table, (now much less than three days ago, because of the legal gold rush) can drive a startup unless they have some powerful money to invest and compete against the powerful, like a half million dollars for starters and that being the case, they would not be asking such uninformed questions on this board.
And finally, there is the point that the majority of top Sportsbooks on the planet (with the exception of one or two public companies) are not licensed in the UK or Eu and therefore cannot now advertise in the UK. We know who they are. They will survive just fine, because the real epicenter for advertising gaming is the Internet itself, in the form of affiliate portals (of which there are about 85,000 URLs), popular forums, gaming ezines and so on. If one needs to estimate there number, do a link-back search.
This thread is much ado over nothing.
